Help For Humans interviews artists, musicians, theologians and other people of interest. We encourage them to talk not only about their polictial or artistic interests, but about issues related to social justice and causes they support.

Help For Humans has interviewed members of Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, The Flaming Lips, Widespread Panic and Michael Franti.

Project Okurase is designed to address the HIV/AIDS crisis in Ghana by helping vulnerable and orphaned children who are impacted by HIV/AIDS in their family and their village. The overarching objectives toward this purpose are to provide skills training and formal education to vulnerable children, women, and to connect orphaned children with families, called Way Forward Families, that have the capacity to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of a child.

Welcome! Our nationwide Database currently contains 1250 records of help organizations searchable by keyword. We've experienced some bugs due to the new version of PHP but we're working it out. If you run into any problems searching, please send an email to info< at >helpforhumans.org.

We have written thousands of lines of code in the past few months and will be making it live within the next few weeks. The community system we've created is going to allow anyone to become an editor and help us to grow our database by hundreds of thousands of records. We're hoping to be in a position to eventually provide help resource information to millions of people.

In addition to the changes we're making to our search database, we're also getting ready to add news and video features related to our non-profit video documentary project, providing interviews and profiles on artists and others of interest who have led interesting lives and have an interest in humanitarian work.

To those of you who have supported us in our effort to get this strange animal of a website hatched, I appreciate your patience. It has taken me many years to get here, but HelpForHumans, formerly USHelplines.org, now has a well defined mission. HelpForHumans is a non-profit organization which will exist as a 501(c)3 corporation, when I finish the paperwork.

The mission will be multifaceted, and has been chosen to allow me and those that I'm working with to do the most good, with the least amount of money in the shortest period of time, with the skills we share.

  •   Non-Profit search engine and databases. HelpForHumans maintains and develops two directories or databases. One is a nationwide listing of help resources, including name, address and phone number, searchable by category. Those categories include Child Welfare, Diseases, Mens, Womens & Childrens issues and more. The associations database currently contains 1250 records. The second database is a nationwide directory of support groups. The support groups database is currently under construction, and once it's finished, will be poplulated with data with the help of churches and the organizations themselves.

  •   Free web design and hosting services for registered non-profit organizations. These services will be provided completely free of charge and will be much more in depth than simple html web and graphics design. We will do our best to create not only static advertising pages, but also complex interactive applications designed to help the non-profit in its mission. We will target those organizations who have the greatest impact on society. These will include food banks, homeless shelters, womens shelters, mens shelters, chilld welfare & suicide prevention organizations. Our web development will be strictly tailored to the needs of the non-profit sector.

  •   The HelpForHumans Multi-Media project is a two part project...
  1.  The HelpForHumans Video Documentary Project is nationwide, comprehensive video documentary project designed to cross cultural, financial and racial barriers, with the intent of creating inter-cultural understanding, and cultural preservation.
  2.  Fund Raising for Non-Profits through the HelpForHumans record label. HelpForHumans contracts with performers to produce professional quality DVDs of concerts, with a percentage of sales contractually obligated to be given to the artists charity of choice.

This website is under construction! Thanks for your patience while we develop the database and everything else it takes to make it work right. You will notice some missing pages, including the journalism pages, thanks for your patience while we work on those things.

The purpose of HelpForHumans.org is to help people and caretakers locate resources. These resources can be foundations, support groups and any other type of organization which provides some kind of free help.

HelpForHumans.org has one main mission, which is to use inexpensive technology tools to help those searching for help to find it. Under this broad heading, it's also our desire to specifically dedicate help resources to native American, native Hawaiian and native Alaskan people through a concerted effort, our two goals being cultural preservation and exploring ways to use technology to help with their existing economic efforts.

As part of the mission of the non-profit, we post interviews with artists, musicians, theologians and politicians, using what we call "non-profit journalism." This gives us a non-profit foundation from which to interview artists and others which can be used to encourage them to talk not only about their polictial or artistic interests, but about issues related to social justice and causes they support.

So far, we have talked with members of Widespread Panic, The Flaming Lips, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals and Michael Franti.

The types of groups and foundations we list include but aren't limited to Alcohol, Narcotics, Violence Intervention, Child Welfare, Womens Issues and Disease support groups. Our associations databse currently contains about 1400 entries. We may at some time in the future also list national poison control and suicide hotlines.

If you have questions, please email us. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so on our donations page.
